British singer Robbie Williams and soccer ace David Beckham may be homosexual but the duo will have to turn gay if they agree for the television series Desperate Housewives this season.
The pair is the first choice of show’s creator, Marc Cherry. The duo will play as best friends of another homosexual couple – the latest characters moved into Wisteria Lane.
Cherry said:
David and Robbie are perfect to star. David’s keen, but though the obvious choice was to work with Tom Cruise, we wanted someone who matches him in height and well, Britishness, so Robbie is the one.
Cherry intends to cast the pair as he dreams of giving a stir to Desperate Housewives like it had for the wives when Jesse Metcalfe was with the show.
The show, Desperate Housewives was premiered on ABC on October 3, 2004. Since then it has been received well by the critics as well as the audience. The multiple Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award winner show became the most popular show in its demographic worldwide, with an audience of approximately 119 million viewers in April 2007.
