Roti Food Festival to roll-out ethnic Indian Foods in Jamaica

564rotiRoti food festival in Jamaica will be organized by the National Council for Indian Culture in Jamaica (NCICJ) on March 26th 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Club India, 38 Lady Musgrave Road, St. Andrew. It will definitely be a treat for the Indians, Jamaicans and al those interested in Indian food. The Roti Food Festival will feature eight different varieties of Rotis, curried goat, curried mango, curried potatoes, lentils, curried chicken, ackee and dry-salted fish, mashed potato and many such traditional North Indian dishes. There will different stalls along with 10 people making Rotis on-the spot. Apart from food it will also let the audience know about this unique Indian bread-making technique via roti-making demos, roti-eating contests and other entertainment like henna-painting.

This shows the efforts taken by the Indians in abroad to spread their culture and what could be more ethnic than the staple food of Indians Roti or a very flat Indian pan bread eaten with curry goat or chicken.
