The image on the right shows Lindsay Lohan with her ‘girlfriend’ Samantha Ronson during the shoot of Labor Pains. Many folks argue that it is common for friends to hold hands when they are together; this does not make them lesbians. But take a closer look at the picture. Lohan has a finger in her mouth and she is giggling. Ronson is like the ‘male’, unsmiling and not even looking at Lohan. Now, by no stretch of the imagination can one say that it is nothing more than good friendship.
To me, it looks like a good old love affair, albeit lesbian. But what is wrong with that if both Lohan and Ronson are having a good time? Moreover, there are indications that the relationship is doing good to Lindsay. Crew members of Labor Pains say that she arrives punctually on the sets and does her work well. Far cry from the miserable creature who used to stagger into rehabs now and again.
It seems Ronson’s ‘love’, has done wonders for Lohan. But everybody is not that tolerant. Lily Allen is set to record a duet with Lindsay Lohan and her fans feel that this will tarnish her reputation. It seems it will be a long time before folks understand the goodness in lesbian love.
