Prosecutors in western Mexico say they have filed robbery charges against two alleged members of a gang of thieves blamed for a “clown jewels” caper.

It happens that in late July, on the 26th to be exact, a gang of six happy faced, gun weilding clowns all piled into their little clown car to have a little fun.
After holding an balloon figurine contest amongst themselves and driving in circles for a bit they made there way into one of Guadalajara’s well known jewelry stores and made off with over U.S.$900,000 in shiney bling for their midget clown wives.
Okay, there really wasn’t a balloon figurine contest and to be honest I don’t know if their wives are midgets, but the six men were armed, dressed as clowns and did make off with over $900k in pretties.
On Thursday, the Jalisco State Prosecutor’s office made the announcement that two of the six evil clowns have been apprehended and charged. A third Bozo has been detained and awaits further investigation prior to formal charges being warranted.
While three other suspects are still at large, possibly at a circus near you, apparently at least one of the big shoes, red nosed bandits have admitted to being in on the heist which led to the theft of the clown’s jewels.
I would imagine in prison these guys won’t find clowning around quite so fun; but not to worry. They’ll now have alot of time on their hands to bring joy, happiness, and tons of smiles to each and everyone of their fellow Jalisco Correctional inmates. Ouch!
