Shefa Group is an Israeli Company that provides food catering and management solutions. The Company has launched its first product for elderly people and it is their favorite craving – Ice Cream. This ice cream is developed by Chef Gili De-Pichoto and Shefa’s own dietician, Tal Friling. This ice cream called as “Ice Cream for Pensioners” is a functional product, which is perked with healthy calories, proteins, vitamins and fibers. This ice cream had its first debut in a nutritionist’s conference and is meant to balance the health needs and the psychological cravings for food in the minds of the elderly people above the age of 65. In the words of Ronit Paz, head of the health division in the company:
We are aware of a direct link between mood and appetite and openness to food among elderly people.
This is a great way of coaxing the elderly people into a healthy diet…they have a little kid in their heart too. As I have mentioned about kids in their hearts then let me add that it is for kids too.
