Private TV channels in India have been demanding long that the Information and Broadcasting Ministry of India allow broadcasting of adult programs in their late night shows. Doordarshan, the state-owned television company broadcasted movies for adults in the mid-80s on Friday nights.
Recently private entertainment channels have renewed their demand to broadcast adult content in a give-and-take bargain where viewers would be given the right to complain against poor entertainment content in exchange for permission to broadcast adult content at night.
