Snoop believes his rap makes pop stars churn out hit singles

Snoop Dogg has gone all out while giving his opinion on pop music. Snoop thinks that rappers do not need pop stars to make them successful, it’s pop stars rather who need rappers to make their singles successful. And that is exactly how ‘California Gurlz’ became successful when Katy Perry collaborated with him to churn out that hit single! He doesn???t feel the need to be judgmental about Katy???s abilities and her works, but she still needed that extra something to actually make California Gurlz that Snoop???s doggy rap gave to her. He says that most pop stars come out with the same s**t and pop stars need rappers to make their albums sell. Snoop does go on to say some good things about Lady Gaga whose weird and eccentric style is certainly unique and that she does come out with great song material ??? although he thinks she would freak him out on bed!

According to BlackBookmag,

Rappers don???t need pop artists on our shit to make us successful. But notice how many pop artists, when they want their records to sell, call on somebody from hip-hop to make their shit work. Katy Perry, for example: I worked with Katy because she???s a bad bitch, but she needed a gangster to complete the deal. She had a cake with no candles on it, then she put me on ???California Gurls,??? and it went to number one. It was actually the West Coast answer to Jay-Z and Alicia Keys??? ???Empire State of Mind.??? They had a song about New York, and we needed to make something about California. I didn???t prejudge her because she???s a pop singer. I don???t judge Lady Gaga, either. She makes good shit, not like a lot of other garbage being repeated. She???s weird as fuck. Who knows, she might have a snake or a knife in her pussy if you try to get some from her.

Well, Snoop Dogg has just thrown a bomb by proclaiming that his ???hip-hop??? music was the reason behind the success of many singles he has done in collaboration with various pop stars like the Pussycat Dolls, Katy Perry and Gorillaz. I think it???s just to seek some publicity (bad or good?) and grab some eyeballs as he is about to release his forthcoming album ???Doggumentary??? some time this month!
