Spicy Mushroom Curry

mmsaMonsoon has arrived in India and mushrooms have sprouted throughout the drench rice fields in East India.

The East-Indian preparation for mushrooms is no where less than preparation of meats.

The recipe is as follows:

Ingredients

Chopped Mushrooms
Sliced Onions
Sliced Tomatoes
Ginger-Garlic Paste
Turmeric Powder
Red Chili Powder
Cumin Powder
Coriander Powder
Cinnamon Powder
Nutmeg Powder
Salt
Oil

Method

1. Fry onions until brown. Add turmeric powder and ginger-garlic paste, fry until brown.

2. Add rest of the spices, salt and tomatoes.

3. Add mushrooms and cook covered, stirring continuously until tender.

4. Add water and simmer the gravy.

5. Garnish the mushrooms with coriander leaves.
