Starbucks next in target list for the Trans fat agenda

mocha beerFollowing the litigation on McDonalds and KFC, is Starbucks, which is about to be sued by Center for Science in the Public Interest. Though the advocacy group has not come up with any particular reason to sue Starbucks, yet it is determined to do so with under the cliche pretext of using Trans fats.

However, there are claims by the group that Starbucks offers 720 calories and 11 grams of saturated fat in its 20-ounce Venti banana mocha Frappuccino with whipped cream to its customers. To add to the accusation the group condemns Starbucks to feed its staff with leftover pastries and unlimited beverages.

The nutritional advocacy group should give the global fast food chains a bit of break until they publicly declare about alternative oil like. Interestingly, the group admits that Dunkin’ Donuts is unhealthy than Starbucks, but it targets Starbucks before a much unhealthier food chain. It is not a matter of who is sued first, but the baselessness of a consumer-health group suing a global fast food chain without any proofs, or may be just for the heck of it.
