Justin Bieber: This pop sensation seems to have become a real sensation for only 42% of his Twitter fans. The rest are either fake or inactive.

Katy Perry: Katy is not behind Bieber in the number of fake followers she has. There are about 49% of her nearly 35 million followers that are fake. While the number of fakes is more than 17 million, the number goes up to more than 27 million if inactive followers are included. So, that leaves Katy with just 22% of genuine followers.

Lady Gaga: Would you not get crazy to know that such a famous celeb is genuinely followed by merely 22% of her total fan base on Twitter? This is true as she has the recorded number of followers as more than 36 million, while the fakes compose about 37% of this number. If both her fake and inactive fans are calculated, the number goes above 28 million.

Taylor Swift: This pop singer is also a part of the group with fake followers. She has the record-breaking 53% fake fan base on Twitter. Her total number of followers is seen to be over 26 million, while there are merely 19% of these that are good followers.

Britney Spears: Britney has a total of more than 25 million followers, while her real fan base is just 22% of these numbers. About 46% of her fans are fake and 32% are inactive.

Rihanna: Her faker score is more than 11 million out of a total of over 29 million followers. So, only 34% are left to be genuine ones.

Justin Timberlake: This famous actor is followed by merely 20% good fans out of his total fan base of more than 18 million.

Shakira: She has no different figures than those mentioned above. Out of about 20 million fans, there are only 26% who really appreciate her. About 8 million followers or 43% are faking on her fan page and 31% are inactive.

Thus, the story is about the same for several such celebrities. Is there no escape to faking?
