Stop rabble rousing

original vijayashanthi 497099790fddd sTXF1 16298The 44-year old actress turned Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) MPVijayashanthi’s inflammatory remark against those opposing the formation of a separate Telengana state is fraught with danger. Such such rabble rousing speeches will only prove to be pouring oil in fire.

During the campaign for the upcoming bypolls in Andrah Pradesh, the actress turned politician allegedly exhorted her partymen to ‘chop down anyone who opposes Telengana’. Such remarks will not do well in politics and her rather unnecessary remark has already put the Andhra Pradesh politics once again in boil.

Vijayashanthi started her political career in 1997 by joining the BJP and became the secretary of BJP’s Women’s wing soon. She started her parliamentary march in 1999 against all odds against Sonia Gandhi but it derailed because Sonia Gandhi left the Cuddapah constituency. Later she started her own political party Talli Telengana which merged into TRS in January 2009.
Vijayashanthi was arrested for inflammatory remark and has been released on bail.

Politicians should not use such remarks on any issue as such remark has the power to ignite the feelings. The ticklish Telengana issue has already taken its toll as several innocent people have already lost their lives in the struggle for Telengana.

Politicians, kindly stop rabble rousing for the sake of innocent people.
