Tasty Coconut Garlic Chutney

We all know how curative garlic is. Its magic to heal high blood pressure is just amazing. But owing to its strong heady stench, it turns out to be hard to devour it. But I have a formula that safeguards the qualities of garlic and also puts in flavor to it. A tasty recipe made out of fresh coconut and garlic!

Ingredients:

Half Coconut, Grated
6 – 7 Green Chilies
5 – 6 Red Chilies
8 Cloves Garlic
1 tsp Tamarind Pulp
Salt to taste

For the Seasoning:

2 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Mustard Seeds

Method:

Heat a dollop of oil and bake the chilies till they turn crisp. Remove them. Crush the Garlic pods and deep-fry them till brown in the same oil. Drain and keep aside. Mince the coconut with the chilies and tamarind to a smooth paste using as little water as possible. Add salt and the roasted garlic and grind to a paste. Transfer the paste into a bowl.
Now heat oil and add Mustard Seeds. When the Mustard starts spluttering, remove from heat and pour the seasoning over the chutney. Mix well and serve with Chapati, Puri or Dosa.
