Terry Bollea, widely known as wrestler Hulk Hogan and his wife, Linda, are calling it the quits. And that too, not without the mud-slinging. To begin with, there had been a discrepancy in the wedding dates as specified by the two of them. Just for the records, it turned out that Terry was right when he said that they had got married on 18th December 1983.
54-year-old Terry, in the court filing, contested his wife’s unspecified amount of alimony, child support and custody claims as well, opining that Linda (48) is economically stable to support herself and their son, Nick. However, the decision as to which parent to live with lies with 17-year-old Nick.
Nick had a serious car accident some time back which critically injured his friend and passenger, John Graziano, who will probably need lifelong care. Nick, apart from bodily injury, got himself a felony charge for recklessly driving his Toyota Supra. His testimony regarding the cause of the mishap is flawed, according to Clarwater police. Kevin Hayslett, Nick Bollea’s attorney, is defending Nick. The grapevine buzz is that his parents separated a month after the accident.
Terry Bollea said the couple’s assets and liabilities should be divided between them. Their assets include the nearly 17,000-square-foot mansion on Willadel Drive in Belleair where the family lives and a 3,474-square-foot home on Eldorado Avenue on Clearwater Beach. Together, the properties are assessed for tax purposes at a total of $7.953-million.
Ann Loughridge Kerr in Clearwater and Elliot Jay Goldstein of Largo, Terry and Linda’s attorneys respectively, are maintaining strict silence.
