It’s official. Former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker,30, and one-time Miss USA and Playboy model Shanna Moakler, 31, are going ahead with divorce after less than two years of being married.
MTV’s Meet The Barkers stars have always maintained every outward appearance of a happy lovey-dovey couple ever since they got married in a Gothic, Nightmare Before Christmas-inspired ceremony on Halloween eve. The adventure ended in mid 2006, when they broke up. However, they had got back together again and had stuck together till officially calling it quits very recently. The couple has put their Bel-Air mansion on the market for $8.5 million.
Barker, who was seemingly the one to initiate the split, is very candid about the reasons behind it. Moakler’s being a party animal, not spending enough time with their kids (Landon, 2, and Alabama, 7 months) and sleeping too much being some of them. To add to this, already heavy baggage of problems, says Barker, was Moakler’s insecurity stemming from a past relationship and her ‘egging’ Barker’s manager’s car!
Barker emotionally admits that he is still absolutely in love with Moakler and that he sneaks over every morning to take a peek at their babies.
Shanna Moakler has another daughter, Atiana, with her ex-fiance, Oscar de la Hoya. The former Miss USA and Playboy model also dated Dennis Quaid and Billy Idol.
