The release of a documentary named Sirius highlighting the results of the tests on the mysterious mummified remains of a 6-inch figure, which closely resembles a space alien, are eagerly awaited by the UFO enthusiasts all around the world. However, the findings might be a disappointment for the alien lovers but despite that, the documentary has created waves of curiosity among the people. In earlier publicity of the documentary, the filmmakers claimed that it would reveal that the DNA of the creature having an over-sized head couldn’t be classified medically and that there was a possibility that it would be an unidentified alien race.
On the contrary, in the premiere of the film in Hollywood this Monday, Sirius featured a scientist that confirmed the little humanoid figure to be human actually. Gary Nolan, scientist at the Stanford University’s School of Medicine in California said that the remains were neither of a monkey nor a chimpanzee but of a human. It lived almost to the age of eight and it was obviously breathing, eating and metabolizing. So, the question is now about the size of the thing during its birth as until almost eight, it grew to only 6-inches and so it must have been quite smaller than 6-inches at the time it was born.
Nicknamed as Ata, this 6-inch tall humanoid figure was first discovered in the Atacama deserts of Chile 10years ago and since then has created many frenzied speculation regarding its origin and has also gone through many different ownerships. Most of the theories formed regarding the origin of Ata have always been linked to extra-terrestrial beings and the DNA reports confirming it to be human has disappointed many pro-UFO audiences.
The film mainly starts by exploring the ongoing movement for uncovering the real reason behind the U.S government’s extreme secrecy in handling the extra-terrestrial information. The main force behind the Sirius documentary is a former ER doctor, Steven Greer who also founded the CSETI (Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence) and The Disclosure Project. In the earlier part of the documentary, Steven Greer refers Ata as an alien being and then starts to explain how it was discovered in the Atacama Desert. So, it proves that the earlier hype created by the PR campaign calling Ata as an alien was nothing more than a clever way to generate curiosity about Sirius while they were well aware that the results were pretty contradictory and disappointing for the UFO enthusiasts.
