President Barack Obama has decided to make his first trip to the Big Apple (as the commander in chief) a really memorable one. The advocate of ‘change’ has kept this a personal affair and is all set to enjoy a date night on Broadway with First Lady Michelle Obama today.
Though there’s not much information about his plans, the fact that he is going on a date with the first lady is a standalone news item in itself. However, we do have some tips from a dedicated newsman at The New York Daily News who has cracked some details from Obama’s personal diary. According to the newspaper, the First Couple will be traveling on one of the smaller planes in the Air Force VIP fleet and plan to take in “Joe Turner’s Come and Gone” at the Belasco Theater.
Obama’s spokesman Josh Earnest, however, chose to play it safe for security reasons and confirmed the plan with his one liner.
The President and First Lady will make a personal visit to New York City.
Anyway, we wish the First Couple a very wonderful time and a memorable date. And yes, our belief in ‘change’ has gone more stronger now!
