The World’s Youngest Prisoner

Meet the world’s youngest prisoner. His name is Yusuf az-Ziq and he is twenty months old. A Palestinian from Gaza he was born inside an Israeli jail cell. He was accused of terrorism upon birth. Clearly, you can see he is a public menace.

I am happy to say that he is no longer a prison, and is pictured here upon release with his mother whom was also, of course, imprisoned.

The release of Yusuf and his mother came with the release of several other Palestinians women (whom were imprisoned on dubious charged and often without due process) as part of exchange. For the prisoners, Hamas – the Islamists that govern the blockaded Gaza Stripe – released a video recorded in mid-September showing that captured little Israeli terrorist occupation soldier (and I will not name him in order to humanized him, since Israel and Zionists want their occupation troops named and Palestinians civilians killed to go nameless in order to dehumanize Arabs and humanize Israeli terrorists).

That occupation soldier appeared sitting (and in one moment standing) reading a letter in Hebrew and, for a second, holding up a Palestinian paper dated 14 September.

Israel wants him back, but by the looks of it he is doing well in Gaza. He is clearly eating (many Gazans are malnourished due to Israel and Egypt’s inhumane blockade), there is no bruises on him so he isn’t being tortured (something that cannot be said about Palestinians in Israeli custody), he’s well-groomed, his suit is clean and he even thanked his company for treating him so well.

He has remained captured for more than three years now, since July 2006. What if he comes out of his detention (if that happens) as an advocate for the Palestinian people? That would be the day.
