Times in fast lane and life in reverse gear

india police brutality 1 uRPHX 16298

When you see all-round development taking place and satisfaction of people enhancing, one feels highly happy. With all the good things happening one feels compelled to see the positive side of the life. India is really doing great.

But when you see that basic values are degrading and human face is missing in implementation of policies and programmes, one is compelled to think that all this for whom and what good it is doing too the society by and large.

We see all things happening around but a few instances of last few days have shaken my confidence. The reported death in a accident near Akhshadham Temple in which one Sr. Citizen lost his life while he was on his morning walk. The subsequent behavior of PCR police staff is highly damaging and needs to be condemned. A few days back, as reported in the electronic media that near Anand Vihar Rly. Station in East Delhi one young man and girl committed suicide by throwing them selves in front of high speed train, their bodies remained on the track and at least three or four trains did pass over these bodies only because it was being contested that the operational charge of the area comes under Anand Vihar police thana and PCR staff have nothing to do in the matter.

These two incidents are just for narration but like these ones there may be hundred of stories where police would seem to have done better.

I think that the Police Commissioner of Delhi has immediate task to rebuild his force to have human face and behave well. This is all the same is very important as we have up coming CWG-2010 wherein we would be on test for our conduct by the people who would be visiting from world over.

So when I say Times in fast lane and Life in reverse gear…….. I think I am right.
