Corinne Day portrays Moss in serious conversation in nine black-and-white frames, assembled together as one portrait.

The supermodel is wearing no make-up due to which 33-year old actress looks highly animated in the portrait.

The portrait was taken by Corinne Day, whose ‘heroin chic’ images in the 90s first pushed the Croydonborn model into fame.

Moss, one of the most photographed women in the world seems to be in anger and as if she is depressed. Well, she might be chatting about her on-off rapport with boyfriend Pete Doherty.

These images were taken at her home two months ago.

A spokesman for the National Portrait Gallery in London said,

Forming one large work, each element of the portrait reveals a different expression, at times facing the camera head-on, at others in conversation or in quiet contemplation.

Taken by Corinne Day in December 2006, the portrait brings something new to our perception of the enigma that is Kate Moss, among the most photographed women in the world today.

British photographer Day was one of the first to work with Moss after she was discovered by Sarah Doukas at Storm at the age of 14.

In 1993 Moss appeared for the first time in Vogue magazine which featured the model in a council flat in dreary underwear.
