Biofuels
The DARPA is working on generating biofuel from waste and algae. They are planning to produce it in larger volumes. The biofuel can be used as an alternative for gasoline.

The mobile network used by the military soldiers slows down when the number of users increases. To overcome this issue, the DARPA has developed the fixed wireless at the distance plan, which uses a system to augment the power of the mobile networks.
The mobile hotspots

Radios are used by the military forces for communication. The major problem associated with the radio is interruption and signal jamming. To eliminate these problems DARPA had developed the Advanced Radio Frequency Mapping system which maps the air waves. Frequencies of high and low usage can be identified which enables the optimization of the frequencies.
Aero Optic Beam Control
This program arms the airplanes with a high capacity laser to shoot the threats with a light beam. The automated laser system will be of great help for the pilots who are unable to track the direction of the threat.
Content based Mobile Networking
This system will speed up the exchange of information between the ground level soldiers and the commanders. It also enables to correlate the content.
Visibuilding
With the aid of the radar signals, the humans and weapons inside a building can be visualized. Three-dimensional map of a particular building can be generated.

The DARPA had planned to rule the Arctic and set up military bases there. They are planning to develop new technologies that will ensure security.
