Men shop too and there are statistics to prove that men enjoy shopping as much as women do. So, what goes through a man’s mind while he is out there in the shopping mall?
Cheap, Nice and Durable
As we say in Hindi, “Sasta, Sundar, Tiakv”, this is what men are looking for. They don’t want to spend big bucks on something they can get for a smaller price. Hence, they will look for a cheaper and durable version of the same thing.
Most men will go gaga over technology. They will check out the new tape-recorder, phone, radio, tablet and everything else technology that has been recently launched into the market. After all, men love technology and they are surely not going to keep away from it when it is so close to them. They will take a look at each of those things.
Man, the Price!
Men rarely shop and hence, most of the times are unaware of the prices of clothes and other luxury items. The only prices that they are aware of are those of groceries and petrol. Hence, a trip to the mall gives them more than just a reality check. They will be left gaping at the price of items on display and hence, will eventually move on to looking for the cheap, durable and nice version of the same thing.
Once they have taken a round of the entire mall and are tired and bored of the whole thing then they will just go to their favourite zone in the mall i.e. the Game Zone. They may watch the kids play or will simply play a game or 2 meant for the adults. Last but not the least, they will enter the food court and munch to their heart’s content before heading for home.
Thus, men shop too. Yes, albeit differently from the way women do but then everyone has their own style so why judge the men? Let them do their shopping like a man and in fact, more often than not, they bring home lovely stuff after their shopping trips.
Summary – Who says only women shop? All the more so, who says only women think? Men are no lesser thinkers than shoppers.
