Pakistan’s famous mobile communication company Ufone will provide jobs to over 900 young graduates through the establishment of its new call center in the national capital Islamabad. The news brings a welcome prospect to the educated youth who are concerned about their careers in a society with a high unemployment rate.

According to Naveed Khalid Butt, Ufone’s Chief Officer Customer Operations, more than 900 jobs will be provided by Ufone’s new contact center in Islamabad before the end of the first quarter in 2009. At the moment, Ufone operates six contact centers throughout the country.

The new center at Islamabad has been established with an investment of about 3 million dollars and outranks all the other call centers in Islamabad by its size and technological sophistication. The purpose of this second Ufone call center in Islamabad is enhancing the customer services of the company, especially in efficiently responding to complaints and queries made by the customers.

The young graduates employed through the new call center of Ufone will get a promising chance of rising to higher management positions in future. The company is also considering the initiation of communication services in regional languages so as to facilitate mobile communication for people who cannot speak English and/or Urdu. This will lead to the creation of more job vacancies and also to greater success for Ufone in leading the country’s communication services. It is worthwhile to mention here that just recently Mobilink, which is Ufone’s main competitor in mobile communication services, has been declared as the winner of the Most Preferred Telecommunication Company of 2008 Award.
