US First Lady Michelle Obama leaves everyone Spellbound

Mrs. Michelle Obama’s address to the public on 4th September, 2012 was by all accounts was a super success. Statictics show that online viewership of her video was higher than the total viewership of all male & female speakers combined at the recent Republican Convention.

Before Mrs. Obama delivered one word of her impassioned “Mom-in-Chief” address, and long after it concluded, fashion bloggers raved about her manicure as much as her Tracy Reese dress. Based on the data provided by Visible Measures the first lady’s speech was viewed 2.6 million times over the next three days. In comparison to this the top 10 Republican speakers had a combined viewership of just 2.1 million during the same period.

The first lady impressed everyone so much in every aspect so much so, that Mr. President could not hold back his emotions even two days later. In his acceptance speech two days later he said, “Michelle I Love You. And the other night, the entire nation saw how lucky I am”. Coming back to Michelle Obama’s speech, this is what she had to say:

Over the past few years as first lady, I have had the extraordinary privilege of traveling all across this country,”. “And everywhere I’ve gone and the people I’ve met and the stories I’ve heard, I have seen the very best of the American spirit. I have seen it in the incredible kindness and warmth that people have shown me and my family, especially our girls.  Serving as your First Lady is an honor and a privilege”.

When we first came together four years ago, I still had some concerns about this journey we’d begun. While I believed deeply in my husband’s vision for this country—and I was certain he would make an extraordinary president—like any mother, I was worried about what it would mean for our girls if he got that chance,” she said explaining the importance of the entire family remaining “grounded under the glare of the national spotlight.”

Both she and her husband, she said, rose to their positions of prominence from humble beginnings. After explaining her view of what being a president is like and what being a first lady is like, she insisted that they were prepared and deserving of staying in the White House for 4 more years. Indeed, that day was all about the Style & Substance of US First Lady Michelle Obama.
