In the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair magazine, Johnny Depp shares details about his 45-acre private Bahamian island called Little Hall’s Pond Cay.

According to the magazine, Depp has named the beaches on his private island on the names of his loved ones as Gonzo, for Hunter S. Thompson (it has a special table with Thompson’s face etched into the glass) other beaches are named as Paradis (after his long time partner), Lily Rose and Jack (kids), and Brando (his mentor). He has also dedicated a spot to Heath Ledger.

About his island, the star says,

I don’t think I’d ever seen any place so pure and beautiful. You can feel your pulse rate drop about 20 beats. It’s instant freedom.

The star also revealed that he loves reading, playing guitar and painting, and he loves painting people’s faces and their eyes.
