Here’s Leighton Meester performing her first single, Somebody to Love, on MTV’s It’s On with Alexa Chung and giving solid proof that she’s got a nice career option in case Gossip Girl reaches a dead end. Leighton is one of those celebs who are blessed cursed with a fifty-fifty ratio of fans and haters. The good thing is, her fans are always honest in their intentions while her critics are mostly disturbed souls who criticize her for criticism’s sake. Anyway, her debut album hits music stores early 2010, and that should settle things for her once and for all.
