The 10th season of American Idol, with the celebrity Jennifer Lopez as one of its judges, has launched an easy way to vote for your favorites. Yes, it has opened a voting booth on Facebook aiming to tap the potential of the much popular social networking site. Just like the time limit set for voting through phone lines, there is a limit on the number of votes given by a person through internet.

Fans of ???American Idol??? may soon be able to vote for their favourite contestants with a click, by logging on to their Facebook pages. Each fan will be able to use the facility 50 times during a telecast???s voting period ??? but will still also have the option of making their choice via text message or toll-free phone calls as well.
Since Facebook logging is required in order to vote for this, more of the teen population with a Facebook account would prefer to cast their vote through the networking site instead of phonelines or text messaging. Thus, the already famous American Idol show will get more teen fans from March 1. Since it is a cheaper way of voting, it would certainly increase the voting participation for the enormously followed show of the country.
It might put a lot of pressure on the telecommunication service providers as more number of their subscribers might move to the cheaper version of Facebook voting. So, starting March 1, what are you waiting for? Login to your Facebook account and start voting for your favorite star.
