I had no shoes and complained, until I met a man who had no feet. I had no wife and complained, and then I got one who ruined my life.
You all are either planning your marriage or looking for a suitable better half. I have been trying to advise some of the prospective grooms within my friend circle but they seem to be completely lost in their world of reveries, so I opted to write here.
Let me enlighten you with some of the simple and basic facts of post marital life with an Indian woman. I’m sure you are expecting a courteous life partner who will not only understand you but your old parents and probably siblings too, support you in fulfilling your duties, and give you moral support & strength during your weaker phases in life. I also understand your reluctance to accept any advise given by men like me as your illusionary trust in her has overshadowed the panorama of hard realities.
Your woman will confidently and innocently agree to be your understanding wife, courteous daughter-in-law and a caring sister-in-law. If you fall for her words then you will remain fallen. Of course you’ll not realize this until after marriage but by then it will be too late. She’ll try to take maximum information out of you during your normal conversations before marriage to fine-tune her destructive strategies, with her parents & siblings, to get the control of everything in your life. You will not understand her cunning deeds until she shows her true colours after marriage. Yes, be prepared for a shock to see your wife as a jinx who will start complaining about your family even without interacting with them. Don’t waste your time in rebuttlals as she’s not interested in listening to you. You’ll try to spend a few days silently in tears under similar mental torture by your wife and non-stop complains but she’ll have no mercy on you. She’s succeeding in her first step of torturing you for which she was trained by her mother and hindi serials of Ekta Kapoor.
When the torture becomes unbearable you will obviously ask her intentions to which she’ll say that she wants to stay separate with you as she’s not able to adjust with your parents / siblings… she’ll not be able to justify any of her demands but will be firm on each of them. If you refuse she might threaten to commit suicide and her parents may start harassing you over the phone. I know you are an innocent man and have not done any research on existing gender biased laws but as you discuss your problem with your friends / relatives you might be guided to take the advise of a lawyer or search for 498A & DV Act on line. Haven’t heard of these until now? Poor you !! Are you really living in India !?
Anyway, when you’ll know about these laws you’ll get shit scared and leave your old parents & siblings to stay separate with your wonderful wife. Wow !! She succeeded in her first mission. Don’t worry, you won’t be alone with her… you’ll be rather blessed with the awful presence of at least her parents all the time. Now she will take control of all your earnings and will not allow you to send even a penny to your parents. Your hard earned money will be misused by a bunch of in-laws and your so called better half. You will be treated like a money making machine and a humiliated dog by these sadists. Well, Congratulations… you have now gone to the species of dogs. Just let me know the breed so I can spread the news and may be you all can have your proud social community of dogs.
If at all you did not agree to her baseless demand of moving separate then she’ll go to her parent’s house and file a false FIR against you & your family, misusing 498A, which will be backed up by at least DV & 125. Surprize surprize… you married a terrorist!!! You know what’s in for you after this as you have done sufficient research by now. It’s quite possible that you fall weak and commit suicide coz of the harassment by police & judiciary apart from mental torture by your better half… may be you want to call her your “bitter half” now !! If you run away from the situation by committing suicide leaving your old parents & siblings helpless to get further harassed then your name should be printed in golden words… after all you have done a wonderful job !!! Committing suicide and leaving your family alone is a great job!! Congratulations for being a coward and dark black spot on the mankind. You ran away from your domestic & social responsibilities, and you failed in the path of karma as well.
If you are a real man then do not give up, no matter what, and fight for justice.
