Ways to please your parents even if you do not score the best marks

Marks are a kid’s way into parent’s good books. However, not everyone is blessed with intelligence enough to score good marks. What does one such person do? It is impossible to score good marks all the time as well. Here are a few tips that will help keep your parents happy without having that requisite 90 percentile on your report card –

I’m a Sport!

You could indulge into sports and have a great time. It doesn’t take long to reach district level or national level if you are real good at it. Parents don’t want anything more than their dearest son/daughter having a really great score at sports. Hence, sports are one of the ways of impressing your parents.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Every educational institution is abuzz with a million other activities apart from studies. If you aren’t the studious types, you can go ahead and participate in one of these activities that interest you and find your way up the ladder from there. If your parents throw a study tantrum, you can show them your success radar in the other thing.

Help at Home

If you just can’t stand the thought of studying but need to appease your parents somehow, help them around the house with daily chores and you will be good to go. At least, they will know that you are a nice person and just not good at studies.

Talk to them; Praise them

Telling them how awesome they are every now and then will make them forget about your marks altogether. Tell them that you are proud of them and appreciate them for what they do for you. Good marks or not, they deserve the appreciation. Despite your marks, you know well that they have done their best for you. Hug them and tell them that every now and then and you are good to go.

Thus, marks aren’t the only way to please your parents all the time. There are a million other things that you can do to make up for those horrible marks on your report card.

Summary – It isn’t everyday that one can score amazing marks and one cannot explain this phenomenon to dearest parents. How then does one please them?
