So the WGA Board has decided to spare the Grammys from going the Golden Globes route and decided unanimously not to picket the 50th edition of ceremony.
The gala event which is scheduled to take place on February the 10th at Staples Center will now proceed as originally planned That is if they can find a host who doesn???t turn the show into a Loony Toons recap or if Britney doesn???t decide to team up with Amy Winehouse and demo an unscripted performance!
Since nobody worth their musical taste buds watches the stuck-in-a-time-warp awards show anyway, we???re all secretly cursing the WGA for depriving us of the entertaining and colorful protests.
But you might still be able to bear the show because word on the street is that Beyonce will be teaming up with Tina Turner (hopefully without ???the hair???) apart from performances by Janet Jackson, Foo Fighters and John Legend (yawn!). And the customary lifetime achievement awards will be doled out to musicians such as Burt Bacharach, Doris Day, Earl Scruggs, Cab Calloway, Itzhak Perlman and Max Roach.
