when a stranger callsWhen a Stranger calls, a low budget remake of a 1979 horror film have struck the right chord with the youngsters as at the weekend box office in North America it earned $22 million which is munch more than actually expected.

Both Big Momma’s House 2 and Nanny McPhee who lead the chart previously slipped from their positions with $13.4 million and 9.9 million respectively.

After getting nominates for eight categories at Academy Awards Brokeback Mountain has started attracting masses again and from sixth position it jumped on to the forth rank. Walk the Line which missed the nomination for Best Film has also made it to number nine in the list; thanks to the nomination of Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix.
Directed by Simon West, a British Filmmaker, the flick is about a high school babysitter who continuously gets taunting phone calls.
