I don’t know why I have a soft corner for this dark-haired Hollywood beauty, but what I know is the fact that she is indeed one of the most talented actresses of Hollywood. Anyway, the latest news connected to Winona Ryder is that she has just been included in the ensemble cast of The Informers, a drama based on Bret Easton Ellis‘ novel.
As per reports, Winona Ryder and Mickey Rourke are the latest inclusion in the cast of The Informers, a film set in the 1980s Los Angeles, which follows a week in the life of a group of morally challenged characters – a movie executive, his wife, his mistress, a rock star, a vampire and a kidnapper.
The two-time Oscar nominated actress plays the role of a newscaster who has just had a split after a longtime affair with a married producer. The principal photography of the film is expected to commence in October in Los Angeles.
Winona’s career and box-office appeal suffered a major setback due to her infamous conviction in a shoplifting incident in 2001 for which she was found guilty of felony grand theft and vandalism, and sentenced to three years’ probation, fines and 480 hours of community service time. Since then she has endured a lot to keep her presence felt. But now it seems the Little Women is determined to return with a bang.
Apart from The Informers, the 35-year-old actress has two other films which can work wonders for her – Welcome, directed by Kirsten Dunst, and Daniel Waters’ Sex and Death 101, which is expected to release next year.
