Mel Gibson’s black patch doesn’t seem to be rounding off to a zero anytime soon. The troubled actor, who is infamous for his racist rants and jibes, has been hit with fresh allegation from another victim of his racist slurs. Winona Ryder says she knew Mel Gibson was racist and homophobic years ago. The Jewish actress claims that Mel once drunkenly called her an “oven dodger” – a derogatory term referring to the mass killing of Jews in gas chambers during the holocaust – at a party in LA 15 years ago.
The Sun quotes her as saying,
I was at one of those big Hollywood parties and he was really drunk. I was with my friend, who’s gay. (Gibson) made a really horrible gay joke. And somehow it came up that I was Jewish. He said something about ‘oven dodgers’, but I didn’t get it. I’d never heard that before. It was just this weird, weird moment. I was like, ‘He’s anti-Semitic and he’s homophobic.’ No one believed me!
Honestly speaking, this kind of news just fail to surprise or shock anyone anymore because Mel has never been shy and the world has never been lenient towards him. The real question is, why is Winona trying to dig up old graves all of a sudden after 15 yrs? I think the Black Swan has teamed up with the opposite camp to defame Mel just before the release of his new movie, The Beaver. All the best to both of them.
