Alan Robinson, 42 has spent his life collecting autographs of all the world famous stars. Working for the last 30 years, Alan has spent a whopping £100,000 collecting the autographs of the stars of stage and screen.
Now, auctioning his amazing collection of 10,000 treasured signatures, Alan Robinson is expected to make £1 milllion.
The collection has autograph of every Oscar-winning actor and actress since the awards began in back in 1929.
This man, who was so keen of getting all the autographs, took a bank loan to buy Greta Garbo’s.
Robinson’s hobby mushroomed at the tender age of seven, when he struggled to get the autograph of Harold Wilson.
In the following years, he acquired signatures of ultra faces including Elvis Presley, Liza Minnelli, Elizabeth Taylor, Meryl Streep, Vivien Leigh, Sophia Loren, Gwyneth Paltrow, Clark Gable, Grace Kelly, John Wayne, Laurel and Hardy and Steve McQueen.
Many of these were bought at different auctions.
Still single, he wants to go on a world tour with the money he fetches by selling the priced possession.
