In response to former Governor James E. McGreevey’s autobiography, The Confessions, his ex-wife, Dina Matos McGreevey’s has released her tell-all autobiography titled Silent Partner: A Memoir of My Marriage.
In her book, Dina describes her former husband as self-absorbed and controlling and claims that he insisted her moving out of the governor’s mansion before his official resignation. The sensational book is scheduled to retail from May 1.
Matos McGreevey mentions that her Governor hubby extended only an indifferent apology days after he appeared on national television in August 2004, announcing his resignation reasoning that he is a gay. She claims that, days before the resignation, McGreevey told her to compose herself, saying, ‘You have to be Jackie Kennedy today.’ He also told her what to say and how to act publicly after his shameful admission. Matos
also tells that the ex-Governor insisted her on leaving the mansion telling that the confession would make her ‘look like white trash.’
In his autobiography which released the last September, McGreevey mentioned sexual encounters with aide Golan Cipel, who till date denies any such happening. Cipel rather says that the former Governor married Matos McGreevey for political gain.
The couple is now separated and involved in a legal dispute over the custody of their daughter, Jacqueline.
