Firstly, the young Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has done it in his own constituency Amethi and now he stormed Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Lok Sabha constituency in Lucknow. He preferred Vajpayee’s constituency to criticize Mulayam Singh’s government in UP.

He said that Uttar Pradesh has been granted various central projects and funds for the developmental works but the state government did not utilize funds properly provided by the Centre. He also said that in last 17 years UP had seen almost no development.

He said in the election rally:

For me there is no difference between Amethi and Mohanlalganj. Give me MPs and MLAs and we will ensure development.

At the same time, he did not forget to remind the people gathered to hear him that the Congress is only party that could place the state on the path to development.

He spoke also on the unemployment problem in the state and the youths migrate to other states for jobs opportunities. Neither the previous governments nor the present the government did anything to generate the employment opportunities in the state.
