When I think of the quality of education that is offered by the colleges that are recently made universities I remember a story which is as follows;A cow boy was taking rest along with his horse.The horse after wandering here and there came to a building which happened to be a university.The horse poked its head into into a window whereupon it was awarded with a degree as the convocation was going on.The cow boy also asked fo a degree and he was refused because degrees would be given only to horses.A similar trend prevails in our varsities also.Except for a few universities all others are so profit minded that once a student places his foot inside the campus he is awarded a degree.Our varsities are mass producing graduates,post graduates and doctorate degree holders,and most of these are unemployable.Earlier it was very hard to get a doctorate degree but now you will get the degree three years after registration through ghost thesis writers. The so called first class degree holders in English M.A. cannot write even a single sentence correctly.This shows that the substandard education is our standard.This must change and quality must not be compromised with
