Oscar winner actor, George Clooney was injured on Friday, September 21 when his motorcycle rammed into a car. Clooney was on a narrow road across the Hudson River from New York City with girlfriend Sarah Larson when the incident happened.

Both Clooney and Sarah are said to be wearing helmets during the incidence. The mishap left Clooney with a broken rib and scrapes while Sarah Larson broke her foot in the collision.

The accident took place around 3:30 p.m when Clooney speeded at Boulevard East to pass on the right a 1999 Mazda Millenia that was about to make a right turn. Though it has been not yet known that whether the driver of the other car signaled for a turn or not as the case is under investigation and no summonses have been issued. As a matter of fact Boulevard East happens to be a narrow road with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline.

Clooney and Sarah were treated and released from Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, New Jersey.

Clooney, 46, was in New York for the filming of “Burn After Reading’ and thankfully the injury would not hamper his schedule in shooting though it expected that it will take quite a long to heal. He co-stars Brad Pitt, John Malkovich and Frances McDormand in the film.

Clooney’s latest film, “Michael Clayton” directed by Tony Gilory will be released next month.
