Japan’s multinational video game company Nintendo has selected the Oscar winner Moulin Rouge star Nicole Kidman to promote its More Brain Training from Dr Kawashima. The new game is designed to measure the users’ speed and accuracy in completing aptitude tests.

Nintendo is one of the world’s biggest game firms, with characters as Donkey Kong and Mario. The company it hopeful that the actress’s ‘universal appeal” will help to extend the game and the new launch will be able to get attention beyond its traditional young, male audience.

The Academy Award and three-times Golden Globe winner for Best Actress, Kidman was born in Hawaii but brought up in Australia.
TV adverts of Nintendo with Kidman will be launched this week. In the advert the 40-year-old star appears with a handheld console and is trying out the latest “brain training” exercises.

While exercising on the advert of More Brain Training she said :

The game is a great way to keep my mind feeling young.

Nintendo had a record of selling over 387 million hardware units and about 2.2 billion software units worldwide in the year 2006.
