People love to copy names and that’s what annoys Hollywood star Angelina Jolie. The actress has decided to get her daughter’s name, Shiloh, patented, which will eventually bar others to use this name. Be it for their kids and for that matter for various products.

It is believed that action of Hors La Monde Corp, Jewellery-design and fragrance company, which is planning to launch a perfume by the name of Shiloh, has prompted Angelina Jolie to make sure that no one misuses her daughter’s name.

The attorney Thomas M Wilentz of New York trademark said:

The notice of opposition alleges that you will be damaged by the pending trademark. Angelina must feel that people applying for ‘Shiloh’ need to get her consent.

For nearly one year Hors La Monde heir, Symine, has been trying to secure trademark of Shiloh but Jolie’s lawyer are also trying to make sure that Hors La Monde doesn’t succeed in securing this name.

Life and Style weekly magazine has said:

The name is completely unrelated. Symine is a citizen of both France and Israel, but she identifies strongly with her Israeli roots – it’s a spiritual thing for her. Shiloh is a Hebrew name that means ‘his gift’. The fragrance has been in development in France for the last two years and has a woody smell with a hint of patchouli flower.

It would be interesting to watch that whether Jolie succeeds in saving her daughter’s name and emerge as super mom.
