Spencer Pratt is one man who can do anything for the sake of publicity, even if it is showing unnecessary concern for social butterfly Paris Hilton. The actor has started an online petition to free hotel heiress Paris. Pratt intends to hand deliver it to Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, once he manages 100,000 signatures. He is of the opinion that Miss Hilton is being over-punished for the crime she has committed. He said,
I’ve always thought that the punishment should fit the crime. Paris has changed her image dramatically over the last couple years. Now she is such a good role model and a smart business woman. So it’s a shame that a miscommunication between her and her people is landing her in jail. She should get probation with community service, but no way should she be put in jail with real criminals.
Well, you too can sign the petition here if you think that the Hilton babe should be spared from the 45 days long jail sentence.
Many of my readers might not agree, but I personally believe that Paris should be given the jail sentence, or otherwise many more from the celebrity ilk will play with the laws.
