The reports on the mysterious death of the reality TV show star Anna Nicole Smith’s twenty-year old son Daniel, seems to change the story slightly. The death has officially been declared ‘suspicious’ and the authorities now plan to hold a formal inquiry which has been scheduled for March 27 Bahamian officials.
Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez told People magazine,
There are a lot of unanswered questions surrounding Daniel’s death that we want to clear up.
Daniel Smith died from a lethal combination of methadone and multiple antidepressants at his mother’s hospital bedside three days after she gave birth to daughter Dannie Lynn Hope, whose paternity is now the subject of litigation.
An ex-boyfriend, Larry Birkhead, sued Anna Nicole Smith, saying he was the father of the baby, and a court ordered that the paternity test be done by January 23. Smith’s lawyer boyfriend, Howard K. Stern, has said he is the father.
More than 20 witnesses will be called to testify, including one who allegedly insists that Howard K. Stern gave Daniel methadone before he died. Stern was in the room at the time of Daniel’s death.
According to TMZ reports, the same witness also will tell officials that after Daniel’s death, Stern flushed the remaining methadone down the toilet.
Well the death of 20-year old Daniel really sounds ‘suspicious. But still the findings are not out so I would like to shut my mouth on the issue.
