It seems as if Beth Ditto is sick of waxing and shaving. The rock singer who fronts the band Gossip now wants to run an ad campaign to discourage women from removing their body hair. Guess who she wants to star in the weird campaign? Supermodel Kate Moss!
Ditto feels that she is the perfect role model for today’s women, who see her as the ultimate style icon. She is of the opinion that Kate can convince women for abstaining from any hair removal techniques. Ditto wants women to ditch the razor and rebel against silky smooth legs and armpits. She said,
Why should we shave? Men don’t.
The singer believes that the natural, hairy look is sexy and Miss Moss can greatly help in changing women’s attitude to hair removal. She was quoted by contact music saying,
If there’s anybody who can make the girls ditch the razors, it’s Kate. She’s so f**king hot. I’d like to see her try and shave at Glasto (English music festival Glastonbury). Who wants to be tiptoeing in a s**tty shower in the mud when you can be getting f**ked listening to great music?
Ditto’s idea is definitely weird and seems to be inspired by the hippie era. And if this was for the sake of publicity, the lady should have resorted to something better.
