Bipasha to play Aishwarya’s daughter’s role

Bipasha Basu’s is upbeat in anticipation about her international debut. She will be acting opposite Sir Ben Kingsley (of Gandhi fame) who has recently launched a new project.

Earlier this year Sir Ben announced that he would make a film on the Taj Mahal, with himself starring as Shah Jahan and Aishwarya Rai as Mumtaz Mahal. After meeting Bipasha Basu during the 7Wonders function at Lisbon, an impressed Sir Ben offered the role of Jahanara Begum (Shah Jahan’s daughter) to the Bengali beauty.

The movie will relate the Moghul historical story behind the construction of the Taj Mahal.

Yes, I have been asked to star in a special role in the film. We’ve already spoken about it. And now we just need to work out the dates.

Earlier this year Sir Ben met Bipasha at the 7 Wonders event in Lisbon and offered her the role in Taj Mahal.

Back home in Bollywood Bipasha has finished with the shooting of Abbas-Mastan’s Race. Where she has acted alongside Saif Ali Khan. Her next project here is a thriller titled Goal where she is cast opposite her longtime boyfriend John Abraham.

Speaking about the future Bipasha wants to do challenging and glamorous roles.

I want to do some exotic projects. This opportunity in Taj Mahal is really one such break. I am awaiting Rituparno Ghosh to start Draupadi. I know I can play Draupadi convincingly.
