Oscar winning actress, Cate Blanchett and Pop star Christina Aguilera both have announced about their pregnancy publicly. While this is the first child for 26-year-old Christina, Blanchett, 38, is going to have her third child.
On the premier of her film, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, at Sydney, Blanchett declared that she was going to expect her baby in April next year. She said she was very excited about the coming baby. She and her husband, Andrew Upton has two sons of five and three years of age.
They are going to become joint artistic directors of the Sydney Theater Company in coming January. This appointment has also created controversial waves in theater community of Australia, the result of which one of the actors, Colin Moody left the troupe because he thought just winning the Oscar award was not enough qualification for running the biggest theater company in the country.
Pop star Christina Aguilera said that she was going to enter ‘mommyhood’ in the beginning of the next year. She confirmed her pregnancy in public with the help of an interview with a glamor magazine. This is her first child and she wants to be a working mother and is sure about, that she could balance between the needs of her child and her carrier. According to Aguilera, her husband Jordan Bratman who is a music executive is thrilled on the idea of becoming a father. She thinks herself to be a lucky girl because Jordan is very cooperative and supports her in every aspect.
