Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie who are currently in India to shoot for the movie ‘A Mighty Heart’ have made a donation of $100,000 to the Daniel Pearl Foundation in memory of the journalist who was kidnapped and then later murdered in Pakistan in 2002.
This movie is based on Daniel Pearl and Jolie plays the wife of the journalist in this movie which is scheduled to release in 2007. The donation was made on Tuesday through the recently formed Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
On the other hand things do not seem good in Namibia where the Jolie-Pitt Foundation pledged to donate $315,000 to a local pre-school and maternity wards. A British TV crew recently visited the Mondesa Resettlement Community and revealed that only 15K has been given till now.
A source in that shoot revealed that the Headmistress of the DRC School was quite upset and claimed that her students have been abandoned by high profile humanitarians.
