Chris Tarrant, the host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, has a long running divorce from his wife for almost a year. The divorce process has become even bitter on the point that who is going to have the children on Christmas and Chris desperately wants to be with his children as he had not spent time since the filing of the divorce.
The couple broke up 15 years after marriage when Mrs. Tarrant came to know about his 10-year-old affair with a female teacher.
Chris is even blaming his wife for turning his children against him but according to the sources close to Mrs. Tarrant said that the children are not able to forgive him of his unfaithfulness to their mother.
Chris has four children, two to his present wife Ingrid and two from his first wife Sheila. The children are old enough to understand the situation and judge for themselves. They have seen all things that went on after their parent’s break-up and they have decided to take their own side.
There was time when Mrs. Tarrant was suffering from cash crunch and there were news that they can go for out of the court settlement and Ingrid had even said some opposing words in an interview to a newspaper, which had paused the development of divorce. This had even put a question mark on the alimony that would have been given to her.
The spokesman for Tarrant said that his relationship with his children is a private matter and also said that he will be in the country for three days till the middle of January. The divorce will get resolved by March 2008. Anyway Mrs. Tarrant was not available for her comments. Now they will have to wait for the court’s order that will decide who will celebrate Christmas with their children this year.
