David Bret: Clark Gable was bisexual

Clark Gable, ‘The King of Hollywood’ is back in news after he passed away some four decades ago. Veteran actor Clark Gable the star and winner of Academy Award for his memorable role in classic film ‘Gone with the Wind’ has been exposed as a gay. According to a new biography by David Bret’s ‘Clark Gable: Tormented Star’ Gable was bisexual.

French author David Bret reveals that Gable’s social circle had mostly gays or bisexuals and to boost his acting career the actor was “gay for pay”.

Bret has been unclear in giving the details of the source from where he gathered Gable’s close personal and sexual relationship analysis with other open gay men. He generally uses “it could be” and “it was alleged” while talking about Gable. Gable has come out as a sex-obsessed man and was reputed for being a serial seducer of women of some who were secret lesbians in the biography.

When Gable was child his father called him a ‘sissy’ and most probably that prompted him to adopt a macho image and denounce homosexuality.

Gable was married five-times and passed away in 1960 of heart attack at the age of 59.
