What goes around does really come around. American actress Scarlett Johansson has reunited with music video director Samuel Bayer for the movie “Brilliance” which is to hit the shots this winter.
Bayer and Johansson already know each other inside out professionally. They collaborated for Justin Timberlake’s music video “What Goes Around…..Comes Around” that was hailed as a mega hit worldwide and director and actress are about to hit the headlines again.
Samuel Bayer remarked:
“So many things came together in all the right ways. It really was a case of ‘what goes around, comes around’. In a good way.”
Johansson made her debut as a big screen actress in 1994’s “North” when she was only 10 years of age and after her performances in 1998’s “The Horse Whisperer” and 2001’s “Ghost World”, she never had to look over her shoulders. Subsequently she starred in hits such as “Girl with a Pearl Earring”, “Lost in Translation” and “Match Point”.
But Samuel Bayer is no inferior either. He was the director of all the videos of Greenday’s 2004 album “American Idiot” and was also the creative mind behind Nirvana’s legendary music video of “Smells like Teen Spirit”. Bayer has been recently signed to be the top man for the horror flick “Near Dark” for Focus Pictures. “Brilliance” shall be his second silver screen project and anticipations are huge after the Justin Timberblake saga.
At the moment, the 22-year old Scarlett Johansson is gaining admiration for her role as Annie Braddock in ‘The Nanny Diaries’ which is Weinstein Company’s adaptation of Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus’ novel of the same name.
