Meryl Streep, who plays a despotic fashion magazine editor in the film The Devil Wears Prada, does not wear footwear by the upmarket Italian fashion house.
‘I own one pair of Prada shoes. They make my feet hurt,’ the American actress revealed to the latest edition of French magazine Madame Figaro, published this weekend.
‘It’s not the shoes’ fault: they are exquisitely made. I blame my feet. I’ve got my mother’s feet,’ she adds.
Devil Wears Prada is based on a best-selling book authored by a former staffer at Vogue magazine, which shocked the fashion world in 2003 with its storyline based on the inner workings of the Vogue magazine.
