Quantum of Solace has proved itself as a milestone in the James Bond saga. With an estimated $70.4 million in the opening weekend itself, it has conquered the box-office and went on to register the highest opening ever for a James Bond film.
It seems Daniel Craig’s blue eyes are working as lucky charm for James Bond 007. Daniel’s first film as Bond, Casino Royale, is the highest grossing James Bond film till date. And the opening week success of Quantum of Solace gives us a hint that Craig’s magic is here to stay.
I still remember the hue and cry raised by Bond fans when Pierce Brosnan was replaced by Craig in 2006. Honestly speaking, even I was not convinced that the blond Bond would carry it off with such perfection. But, as they say, the real worth of a diamond is not known until its glare blinds your eyes!
